Fix email issues appearing in Private Email

This article is intended to help you resolve issues related to your email that you may encounter while using Private Email in Norton AntiTrack.

Depending on the issue, choose one of the following:

I did not receive the email code verification from Private Email

When you add your real email to protect it, you are required to authenticate for verification purposes. To perform this authentication, Norton AntiTrack sends a six-digit code to the real(original) email that you have provided.

At times, this verification code may not be present in your inbox. Please check the Junk folder to see if you have received the verification code email.

Message: "No trackers found in this email"

You may receive your real email with the message No trackers found in this email on the header.

Blank page appears instead of real email

You may receive a blank page when you view the real email that was sent from Private Email in Norton AntiTrack. To fix this issue, refresh the page and check again. If the issue persists, update the browser to the latest version.

Follow the steps below to update your browser:

Google Chrome

  1. Launch Google Chrome.

  2. At the top-right corner of the screen, click Customize and Control Google Chrome.

  3. Click Help and then click About Google Chrome.

  4. Click Update Google Chrome.

    If you can't find this button, you're on the latest version.
  5. Click Relaunch.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Launch Microsoft Edge.

  2. At the top right corner of the screen, click Settings and More.

  3. Click Help and feedback and then click About Microsoft Edge.

  4. Click Update Microsoft Edge.

    If you can't find this button, you're on the latest version.
  5. Click Relaunch.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Launch Mozilla Firefox.

  2. At the top right corner of the screen, click Open Applications Menu.

  3. Click Help and then click About Mozilla Firefox.

    Your browser will be updated to the latest version.

  4. Click Relaunch.

Safari

  1. Click the Apple icon on the top-left corner of the screen.

  2. Click System Settings.

  3. In the screen that appears, click General on the left-side of the screen.

  4. In the General screen, click Software Update.

    If any updates are available, click Update Now to install them.

If the issue is still not resolved, update your operating system to the latest version. Depending on the operating system, choose one of the following:

Windows 11

  1. Click Start on the bottom of the home screen.

  2. In the screen that appears, click Settings.

  3. In the Settings page that appears, click Windows Update.

  4. In the Windows Update page, click Check for updates.

    Your Windows operating system will be updated to the latest version.

Windows 10

  1. Click Start on the bottom-left corner of the screen.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. In the Windows Settings page, click Update & Security.

  4. In the Windows Update page, click Check for updates.

    Your Windows operating system will be updated to the latest version.

Mac

  1. Click the Apple icon on the top-left corner of the screen.

  2. Click System Settings.

  3. In the System Settings screen, click General and then click Software Update.

  4. In the Software Update screen, if Automatic Update is turned on, your Mac device will download and install updates automatically.

    In the Updates Available section, click Update Now and follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest updates on your Mac device.

Android

  1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.

  2. Tap System and then tap System Update.

  3. In the System Update screen, tap Check for System Updates.

    If there are any updates available, it will be downloaded and installed on your device.

iOS

  1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device.

  2. Tap General > Software Update.

    The screen shows the currently installed version of iOS and whether an update is available.
