Using My Devices and Manage Devices settings in your Norton account

Your Norton account lets you see where your protection is installed and control which devices use the device slots in your plan. This article explains the difference between My Devices and Manage Devices, and how to use each option.

My Devices vs. Manage Devices

  • My Devices: A simple list of every device linked to your Norton account, showing whether each one is protected, and allows you to rename and remove devices you no longer use.
  • Manage Devices: A simple list under My Subscriptions that shows which devices are using the device slots in a specific plan and allows you to move a device to free a slot for another device.

Open the My Devices page

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. In the top-left corner, click My Devices.
  3. The My Devices page lists all your devices with their current protection status, with options to Edit name and Remove any device you no longer use.

Open Manage Devices for a specific plan

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. At the top-right corner, hover over My Account, and click My Subscriptions.
  3. Find the Norton plan you want to manage.
  4. Under that plan, click Manage Devices (this link only appears if at least one device is using that plan).
  5. You see a list of devices that are using the device slots for that plan, with options to remove them.

Understand device statuses on My Devices

On the My Devices page, each device shows a short status and a colored icon.

  1. Protected (green): When a device shows as Protected, Norton is installed and actively protecting it, and you do not need to take any action.
  2. Not protected (orange): If a device shows as Not protected, Norton is not currently protecting it, often because the subscription expired or its license was removed; use the Renew or Subscribe option in the message or reinstall Norton from your active plan on that device.

If the device status does not change after you renew your plan or reinstall Norton on a device:

  • Ensure the device is turned ON, connected to the internet, and the Norton product is open.
  • If My Devices shows the wrong status while data is still syncing, wait a few minutes and refresh the page, and if the Norton product on the device shows Protected, your device is secure, and you can ignore the alert.
  • If the issue persists, contact Norton Support.
