Norton AntiTrack extension status is incorrectly displayed in Norton AntiTrack app

The Norton AntiTrack app may incorrectly show that the Norton AntiTrack extension is installed in your browser, even when it is not installed, or vice-versa.

To fix this problem, follow the below steps:

Update your browser

You may need to update your browser or install the supported browsers.

STEP 2

Sign out from Norton AntiTrack

  • Launch Norton AntiTrack.

  • On the Norton AntiTrack home screen, click Settings on the bottom-right corner of your screen.

  • On the Settings screen, click Sign Out.

STEP 3

Uninstall and reinstall the Norton AntiTrack app

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. In the Run dialog box, type in the following text, and then press Enter:

    appwiz.cpl

  3. In the list of currently installed programs, click Norton AntiTrack, and then click Uninstall or Change.

  4. Click Yes to confirm.

  5. When the uninstall finishes, exit all programs and restart the computer.

  6. Reinstall Norton AntiTrack.

If Norton AntiTrack repeatedly prompts to add the extension when the extension is already present, refer to Fix problem when Norton AntiTrack prompts to add extension even when browser extension is added.
