FAQ: Upgrading to the latest version of Norton Utilities Ultimate

While upgrade to the new version is set to be automatic, it may not happen automatically in some cases. We recommend following the instructions below to upgrade to the latest Norton Utilities Ultimate version as soon as possible.

Upgrading your Norton Utilities Ultimate involves three steps:

1. Uninstalling your current Norton Utilities Ultimate product

2. Restarting your device

3. Downloading and installing the latest Norton Utilities Ultimate version

Starting June 30, 2024, we will no longer support Norton Utilities Ultimate version 21.x and older. We recommend upgrading your Norton Utilities Ultimate to the latest version.

Norton Utilities Ultimate helps you:

• Automatically optimize your Windows PC's processing power, memory, and hard drive when you launch high-demand apps to help give you a smoother gaming, editing, and streaming experience

• Clean and speed up your Windows PC by working to fix common issues that can cause frustrating slowdowns or crashes

• Identify and help remove unwanted programs that slow you down

• Free up space on your hard drive to allow you faster access to programs

• Maintain your digital privacy by enabling you to erase your browser data

• Keep your local device data private by modifying the operating system’s settings

If you do not see your Norton Utilities Ultimate subscription listed in your Norton account, contact Norton Member Services & Support.

Yes. Your Norton subscription will renew automatically until you cancel your renewal in my.norton.com.

Most of our services are offered as automatically renewing subscriptions to help our customers avoid service lapses. An automatically renewed subscription gives you continuous access to your service without worrying about expiration dates.

If the upgrade to the latest version of Norton Utilities hasn't happened automatically, all you need to do is to upgrade to the latest version manually. We recommend following the above instructions and upgrade to the latest version.

If you were charged for the renewal of your Norton Utilities Ultimate subscription and do not wish to upgrade to the latest version of Norton Utilities Ultimate, contact Member Services & Support.

We understand that the Fix Problems feature was anticipated as part of our product. However, it currently does not provide effective assistance for users with modern PCs running Windows 10 or 11.
