Starting June 30th, 2024, we will no longer provide support for Norton Utilities Ultimate version 21.x and older. To continue using Norton Utilities Ultimate as part of your subscription, you must upgrade to its latest version. This article provides instructions to help you manually upgrade your Norton Utilities Ultimate to the latest version.

How do I upgrade to the latest version of Norton Utilities Ultimate?
While upgrade to the new version is set to be automatic, it may not happen automatically in some cases. We recommend following the instructions below to upgrade to the latest Norton Utilities Ultimate version as soon as possible.
Upgrading your Norton Utilities Ultimate involves three steps:

Uninstalling your current Norton Utilities Ultimate product

Restarting your device

Downloading and installing the latest Norton Utilities Ultimate version
Uninstall your Norton Utilities Ultimate product

Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

In the Run dialog box, type in the following text, and then press Enter:
appwiz.cpl

In the list of currently installed programs, select Norton Utilities Ultimate, and then click Remove or Uninstall.

If the User Account Control window appears, click Yes.

Follow the on-screen instructions.
Restart your computer
If the uninstall completed without a device restart, manually restart your device.
A restart ensures there are no leftover traces of the uninstalled product/app.
Download and install the latest Norton Utilities Ultimate

Go to my.Norton.com and sign in with your Norton account email address and password.

In the My Norton portal, at the top-right corner, hover over your display name and click My Subscriptions.

In the My Subscriptions page, under Norton Utilities Ultimate, click Download. Next, on the Get Started page, click Agree and Download.

Once the download completes run the installer from your browser, press Ctrl + J key, to open the Downloads folder in your browser, and double-click the file that you downloaded.

If the User Account Control window appears, click Continue/Yes and follow the on-screen instructions.
Why should I upgrade to the latest version? My current version seems to be working fine.

If you do not see your Norton Utilities Ultimate subscription listed in your Norton account, contact Norton Member Services & Support.
Will my Norton Utilities Ultimate subscription renew automatically if I don't update to the latest version?
Yes. Your Norton subscription will renew automatically until you cancel your renewal in my.norton.com.
My Norton Utilities Ultimate subscription was renewed automatically. What do I need to do?
Most of our services are offered as automatically renewing subscriptions to help our customers avoid service lapses. An automatically renewed subscription gives you continuous access to your service without worrying about expiration dates.
If the upgrade to the latest version of Norton Utilities hasn't happened automatically, all you need to do is to upgrade to the latest version manually. We recommend following the above instructions and upgrade to the latest version.
I want a refund. What should I do?
If you were charged for the renewal of your Norton Utilities Ultimate subscription and do not wish to upgrade to the latest version of Norton Utilities Ultimate, contact Member Services & Support.

I no longer see the Fix Problems feature. Where did it go?
We understand that the Fix Problems feature was anticipated as part of our product. However, it currently does not provide effective assistance for users with modern PCs running Windows 10 or 11. To ensure we meet your expectations and provide the best possible experience, we have decided to temporarily remove this feature.
Rest assured, we are diligently working on a more advanced and comprehensive solution that will benefit all our customers, regardless of their PC's age or configuration. We appreciate your patience and continued support as we make these improvements.
