You may see this error when desktop setup has failed due to an intermittent issue. Follow the steps to resolve the desktop setup error.
Exit the Norton Password Manager mobile app.
Using the same mobile device, scan the QR code again present in your desktop browser extension.
Authenticate using biometric or facial recognition and check if desktop setup is successful.
If issue is still not resolved on your mobile device, the desktop setup cannot be done using this mobile device. Scan the QR code again using a different mobile device or manually setup Norton Password Manager on your desktop by following the steps.
Open Norton Password Manager mobile app.
Unlock your vault using biometric authentication.
Tap Vault and tap Reset Password.
Authenticate using your biometric authentication or Face ID to go to the Reset Password screen to create a new password.
Click Norton Password Manager on the top-right corner of the browser.
Click Get started with email and enter your Norton account credentials to sign in to your Norton account.
If you created a new Norton account from the mobile app, you can find your Norton account password in your Norton Password Manager mobile vault.
From the Unlock vault screen, enter your vault password.
