Message: “Device not Collecting Data” or "None of your protected devices are collecting data" appears on Norton Protection Report

The Protection Report summarizes activities that your Norton product has performed to protect your devices and identity. Every time your Norton product scans your files or apps, recognizes identity threats, identifies compromised networks or detects other online threats, information about the activity is logged in the Protection Report.

For the device to collect data, Norton device security has to be installed and fully set up. You have to be signed into the Norton product and the device has to be connected to the internet.
The device will not collect data due to any of the following reasons:

  • You have recently installed Norton device security on the device. In this case, it will take 30 days to reflect the data on your protection report.
  • You have removed Norton device security from the device.
