What is monthly billing?

It's a way of paying for your subscription on a month to month basis with no long-term contract obligation. You have the flexibility to cancel your subscription at any time with services ending up through the end of the last month paid.

How is monthly billing different from annual billing?

The monthly billing charge you a monthly rate instead of you having to pay the entire cost of a yearly subscription up front. The refund policy differs slightly from the annual policy.

Is the protection any different between monthly or yearly?

Whether you have a monthly subscription or a yearly subscription, you will be equally protected as the product is the same. The only difference is how you are billed.

How does the transaction show up on my credit card statement for monthly charges?

The transactions will show up as "Norton *AP##########". Your personal order number will appear here.

How will I be able to tell if my product is active?

Sign in to your account and check the expiry date of the product.

How do I get an receipt for the last month's charge. Where can I find that?

Sign in to your account to print or download your receipt.

Will each of the monthly payments include tax?

Yes, if applicable.

What happens if the subscription is not renewed on the billing date?

Generally, when you enroll in a monthly subscription, you will be automatically renewed each month so you will not have to worry about manually renewing. But if you either cancel your subscription or your payment on file does not successfully get charged, you will not be automatically renewed. If there's a bill failure, you will receive billing notification emails reminding you to renew manually or update your credit card.

What products offer monthly billing?

Monthly billing will be offered initially for Norton Secure VPN as a pilot.

When will other products offer monthly billing?

We may be expanding monthly offerings to our other Norton products in the near future.

I do not see an option for monthly billing? How come?

Monthly billing is only available for select products and services and is available in US at this time.

Can I change my yearly subscription to monthly subscription?

At this time, the only way to convert your Yearly subscription to monthly billing would be to cancel your existing annual subscription and place a new order with monthly billing.

Can I change my monthly subscription to yearly subscription?

At this time, the only way to convert your monthly subscription to a yearly subscription would be to cancel the order and place a new order with annual billing.

How do I cancel my monthly subscription for Norton Secure VPN?

You qualify for a refund if you cancel and call Member Services & Support within 14 days of the first paid month of your subscription. After the first paid month of your subscription, there is no refund on subsequent paid renewal months.

Which methods of payment¹ will work with monthly billing?

Currently, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCP, PayPal, and Google Pay with monthly billing.

Will I get a monthly receipt or one receipt for the yearly term?

Monthly billing confirmation emails and receipts will not be sent out on a monthly basis. You will receive a confirmation email following your initial first month's purchase only and in subsequent months you will see monthly charges on your credit card statement. However, you may go to your account to view your past monthly or annual billing receipts.

How to upgrade my product which is on a monthly billing plan, how does this work?

Currently, no upgrades within monthly billing are possible. We will need to cancel your order, place a new order for the upgraded product and ensure that your subscription is enrolled in monthly billing.

How do I get Norton Security Premium, why isn't there a monthly billing option available?

Monthly billing is not available for products with add-ons at this time. At the moment monthly billing is only available for Norton Secure VPN. In the future, we may make it available for additional products.

How to change the billing date? Can you edit the billing date for my monthly subscription?

We are not able to change the date of your monthly subscription at this time. We are planning to implement this in future.

When will I be billed next?

The next billing date is 30 days from the purchase date. There is a fixed billing date every month, except for the orders that are placed on 29th, 30th, and 31st, which are billed on the 1st of the following month.

What is the cancellation policy for monthly billing subscriptions? Is it the same as the yearly policy?

The monthly cancellation policy is different than yearly. You can cancel your monthly billing subscription at any time without penalty. You will not receive a pro rata refund if you cancel mid-term on any months already paid but you will be able to continue to use your subscription until the end of your paid billing cycle.

Can I opt back into a subscription so that I am automatically renewed each month?

No, you should place a new order and re-subscribe.
