Error: "We were unable to setup your subscriptions due to a system error..." when signing in to Norton VPN

When you sign in to Norton VPN, you may see one of the following error messages(sometimes with a different number):

  • Error: We were unable to setup your subscriptions due to a system error...". Please try again later. (1)

  • Error: We were unable to setup your subscriptions due to a system error...". Please try again later. (1000)

  • Error: We were unable to setup your subscriptions due to a system error...". Please try again later. (5000)

To fix this problem, change your network connection region on your Norton VPN app.

Connect to a different VPN region

Connect to different VPN region and try to access the website. On your Norton VPN app, in the VPN region or Regions screen, select a different geographic region from the drop-down list.

  • Example #1: If you are in the USA and the VPN region is set to "Auto-Select", then, connect to the USA region manually.

  • Example #2: If you are in the USA and the VPN region is already selected to "USA", then, connect to Canada region manually.

  • Example #3: If you are in Germany and the VPN region is already selected to "Germany", then, connect to the closest different region "Poland", "Switzerland" or "France".

If the issue persists, depending on your device, do one of the following:

Android

  1. Exit Norton VPN from your device.

  2. Uninstall the Norton VPN app.

  3. Restart your Android device.

  4. Reinstall the Norton VPN app and sign in.

  5. Connect to different VPN region and try to access the website. On your Norton VPN app, in the VPN region or Regions screen, select a different geographic region from the drop-down list.

    • Example #1: If you are in the USA and the VPN region is set to "Auto-Select", then, connect to the USA region manually.

    • Example #2: If you are in the USA and the VPN region is already selected to "USA", then, connect to Canada region manually.

    • Example #3: If you are in Germany and the VPN region is already selected to "Germany", then, connect to the closest different region "Poland", "Switzerland" or "France".

iOS

  1. Exit Norton VPN from your device.

  2. Uninstall the Norton VPN app.

  3. Restart your iOS device.

  4. Reinstall the Norton VPN app and sign in.

  5. Connect to different VPN region and try to access the website. On your Norton VPN app, in the VPN region or Regions screen, select a different geographic region from the drop-down list.

    • Example #1: If you are in the USA and the VPN region is set to "Auto-Select", then, connect to the USA region manually.

    • Example #2: If you are in the USA and the VPN region is already selected to "USA", then, connect to Canada region manually.

    • Example #3: If you are in Germany and the VPN region is already selected to "Germany", then, connect to the closest different region "Poland", "Switzerland" or "France".
