Error: "For an alternate way to install this product..." when installing Norton device security on Windows
This error can occur if there is a problem with the downloaded installation file or if it is corrupted.
Norton is not compatible with Windows Insider Preview versions. For more information, read Compatibility of Norton with Windows Insider Preview versions or Beta versions of macOS.
Run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool
If you have Norton Family installed, uninstall it before you run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.

Download the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool.
Save the file to the Windows desktop. On some browsers, the file is automatically saved to its default location.

To open the Downloads window in your browser, press the Ctrl + J key.

Double-click the NRnR icon.

Read the license agreement, and click Agree.

Click Advanced Options.

Click Remove Only.

Click Remove.

Click Restart Now.
After the computer restarts, download and install your Norton product.

Download your Norton product: Norton 360

Press the Ctrl + J keys, to open the Downloads window in your browser and double-click the file that you downloaded.

If the User Account Control window appears, click Continue.

Follow the on-screen instructions to install your Norton product.
