If you forget your Norton username or password, this article outlines the steps to regain access to your account. It provides instructions on using alternative sign-in methods, and, if those are unavailable, detailed instructions for resetting your password or retrieving your username.
Before you reset your password or retrieve your username, check if you can sign in using an alternative method.
If you have forgotten your password:
Go to the Reset Your Password webpage.
Enter the email address that you used to make your purchase or to create your account.
Click Continue.
If an account is associated with the email address, Norton sends you an email with password reset instructions.
If you do not see the password reset email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folders. The password recovery emails from Norton have the following details:
From: no-reply@mylogin.norton.com
Subject: Reset your account password
Open the email and click the Reset Password button.
If you did not receive the password reset email, refer to the following article: Resolving problems with receiving Norton account password reset emails. If your email account is not active, contact Norton Support.
Create a new password for your account.
Your password must be case-sensitive, 8 characters or longer, and contain at least one upper- and lowercase letter, one number, and one symbol.
If you have forgotten your username:
Go to the Forgot Username webpage.
Enter the email address that you used to make your purchase or create your account.
Click Continue.
If an account is associated with the email address, Norton sends you an email. Follow the instructions provided in the email.
