This problem may occur if you are trying to download and install the Norton device security product on Mac using the My Norton portal.
To fix this problem, update your macOS to the latest version. For detailed steps on updating your macOS to the latest version, refer to the Apple Support article.
If the problem persists, configure the Security & Privacy settings, and then launch the Norton installer file available in the Downloads folder.
In the System Preferences window, click Security & Privacy.
In the Security & Privacy window, click the lock icon at the bottom.
When prompted, type your administrator account password, and then click Unlock.
Under Allow apps downloaded from: section, select App Store and Identified developers, and then click the lock icon at the bottom.
On your Mac desktop, click Go at the top, and then click Downloads.
Open the Norton installer folder, right-click on the Norton installer file, and then click Open to install the Norton device security product on your Mac.
