Your Norton protection can be installed on a limited number of devices depending on the subscription that you purchased. You have used up your licenses and need to remove a license from an unused device to allow installation on a new device. Follow the instructions to remove a license so that you can install your Norton product on a new device.
Sign in to your account.
If you have obtained your product from a service provider, use the partner login link and partner challenge code, or 4-digit partner unit ID you received in your welcome mail.
In the top-right corner of the page, hover over My Account and click My Subscriptions.
Find the plan that you want to manage.
Under that plan, click Manage Devices.
In the pop-up window, choose the device that you no longer use, and click the bin icon.
Click Remove to confirm.
To install Norton on a new device, click Download or Share.
If you are on the device you want to protect, select Agree & Download. If you are not on that device, click Send Download Link to Email or SMS the link to the new device.
Open the installer on the device and follow the on-screen steps.
Sign in when prompted to finish activating your Norton protection.
If you do not have a license to remove, you can buy more licenses to install on additional computers. In the My Subscription page, select your Norton product, and then click Download. In the Install Norton window, click Upgrade Your Service to buy more licenses.
Sign in to your account.
If you are not signed in to Norton already, you will be prompted to sign in. Type in your email address and password for Norton, and click Sign In.
If you do not have an account, click Create an account, and then complete the sign-up process.
In the Get Started window, click Download Norton.
Click Agree and Download.
Do one of the following depending on your browser:
For Windows: Press Ctrl + J key, to open the Downloads window in your browser, and double-click the file that you downloaded.
For Mac: Press Command + Option + L, to open the Downloads window in your browser, and double-click the file that you downloaded.
If the User Account Control window appears, click Continue.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
