Export or Import Security History information

In the Security History window, the new events overwrite the old ones once the log list reaches its maximum limit. So, Norton lets you export the Security History events to a file so that you can review them at any time.

Import or export Security History information

  1. Open your Norton device security product.

If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

  2. In the Norton product main window, double-click Security, and then click History.

  3. To export, do the following:

    • Click Export.

To export items related to a category, in the Show drop-down list, select that category.

    • In the Save As dialog box that appears, select the format, name, and location for the log file, and then click Save.

You can export the log into .mcf or .txt file. The .mcf can be viewed only in the Security History window.

  4. To import, do the following:

    • Click Import.

    • Browse to the folder that has the .mcf file you want to import. This file replaces the current Security History list. Once you are done, close the file to return to the current Security History list.
