Compatibility of Norton with Windows in S Mode

We have launched a Norton Security app that is compatible with Windows 11/10 in S mode.

What is Windows in S Mode?

Windows in S Mode is a streamlined version of Windows that is optimized for security and performance. Windows 11/10 in S Mode uses apps exclusively from the Windows Store. Even though it offers most of the features from Home or Pro edition, it does not allow users to run desktop applications. It limits app installations through Windows Store only, for safety and stability of the OS.

Will my Norton product work on Windows in S Mode computer?

We have launched a Norton Security app that runs in Windows 11/10 in S mode. This allows our existing customers to use their subscription even in Windows 11/10 in S mode.

What are the features?

Norton Security app for Windows 11/10 in S mode offers the following features:

• Device (Network) Security: Detects and notifies when the device is connected to an unsecure Wi-Fi or when malicious traffic is detected. This will also prompt the user to enable its Secure VPN feature.

• Secure VPN: Encrypts the connection end-to-end by masking the IP address and location.

• Norton Safe Web: Offers Safe Web extension support for Edge browser. Includes Safe Search, Anti-Phishing, and Safe Web features.

• Norton Password Manager: Offers Norton Password Manager vault extension support for Edge browser.

• Dark Web Monitoring: We monitor for use of your personal information on hard-to-find dark websites and forums. When we detect your information on the dark web, we notify you.

• Privacy Monitor: Lets you find and remove personally identifiable information (PII), such as name, address, age and known relatives, from common people-search websites and data aggregators.
