Change in code signing support for Norton products from SHA1 to SHA2 on Windows 7

Применимо для: Windows

Microsoft had rolled out a security patch (KB4474419) update for Windows 7 to support signed binaries with SHA 2 certificates. As the older SHA1 software publishing certificates were deprecated on 15th April 2021 Norton will switch the code signing to SHA 2 certificates.

To know more about KB4474419, read the Microsoft article: https://support.microsoft.com/help/4474419.

If you are on Windows 8 or later, no action is required from you as SHA 2 code signing support is already installed on your computer.

To continue receiving Norton product updates, we recommend that you install KB4474419 update on your computer. If the KB4474419 security patch is not installed on your computer, you will not get any product updates above version 22.21.5. You can continue receiving the virus security definition updates.
