Error: "Error 6: Product License has been violated..." when activating Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate

Norton Utilities Premium is not available in the Nordic region.

This error appears when you have reached the maximum device installations. You can uninstall Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate from an unused device to allow installation on another device.

Uninstall Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate from the unused device

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. In the Run dialog box, type in the following text, and then press Enter:

    appwiz.cpl

  3. In the list of currently installed programs, click Norton Utilities or Norton Utilities Premium, and then click Uninstall or Change.

  4. Click Yes to confirm.

After you uninstall Norton Utilities from an unused device, try reinstalling again on your current device.

Download and install Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate

  1. Sign in to your account.

  2. Hover the mouse over your name at the top-right corner and click My Subscriptions.

  3. On the My Subscription page, under Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate, click Download.

  4. In the Get Started window, copy the Activation Key that is provided as you need to enter it during the activation process.

  5. Click Agree and Download.

    Click the License and Services Agreement link and read the agreement before you download and install your Norton product.

  6. Press Ctrl + J key, to open the Downloads window in your browser and double-click the file that you downloaded.
    If the User Account Control window appears, click Continue.

  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Activate Norton Utilities Premium or Norton Utilities Ultimate

  1. Open Norton Utilities product.

  2. Click on the help icon present on the top-right corner of the screen.

  3. Click About Norton Utilities Premium or About Norton Utilities Ultimate.

  4. In the Norton window, click Change Key.

  5. Enter the Norton Utilities product key and click Finish Activation.
