This problem occurs only on Apple Silicon M1 (ARM) devices after upgrading your Mac operating system to macOS Big Sur 11.5 or later version. To resolve this problem, you need to install the Rosetta software on your Apple Silicon M1 device.
To resolve this issue, follow the below steps:
Click System Preferences > Network.
In the Network window, select the Norton product, and then click the minus (-) sign at the bottom.
Click Apply and then close the Network window.
Restart your Mac.
After the Mac restarts, on your desktop window, click Go > Applications.
In the Applications window, search and open your Norton device security product.
In the alert, click Install to update and install the Rosetta software on your Apple Silicon M1 device.
After the Rosetta software installation is complete, in the Norton Quick Menu, click Open My Norton or Open Norton Security.
In the Norton device security product window, click Continue, and then click Allow to allow Norton to monitor all the network activities and block malicious websites from accessing your Mac.
