Disable startup applications using Norton Startup Manager to speed up your Mac startup time

Many applications are configured to launch when you start your Mac. These include applications that you never use, rarely use, or never knew that you had. The more applications that launch when you start your Mac, the longer it takes. Norton Startup Manager lets you disable startup applications to get you up and running faster.

Disable startup applications

  1. Open your Norton device security product.

  2. On the left pane, click Performance.

  3. In the Performance dashboard, in the Startup Manager tile, click Open.

  4. Your Norton product lists the applications that launch when you start your Mac.

  5. Move the slider next to the relevant application to prevent the application from launching when your device starts.
