Report a suspicious SMS to Norton

Smishing is a combination of the words short message services (SMS) and phishing. Today’s cybercriminals often carry out smishing attacks because people tend to trust text messages more than emails.

You can submit a suspicious SMS to Norton using one of the following methods.
 

Send a screenshot to Norton

Simply take a screenshot of the SMS on your mobile device and send it to sms@norton.com.
You can take a screenshot most often by pressing two buttons on your smartphone simultaneously. For detailed information, refer to Android steps or Apple iOS steps.

Forward the suspicious SMS to Norton

From iOS device:

  1. Enter the conversation and then press and hold the message bubble.
  2. Tap More.
  3. Select the message or messages you want to forward.
  4. Tap the arrow on the bottom right of your screen.
  5. Type sms@norton.com and send.

From Android device:

  1. Enter the conversation and then press and hold the message bubble.
  2. Tap on the three vertical dots on the top right of your screen.
  3. Tap Forward.
  4. Type sms@norton.com and send.
