Opt in or opt out of text message or automated call alerts

You can specify the phone number to send text message alerts or receive automated calls. If you wish, you can also opt out of both.

Update the phone number for text message alerts

  1. Sign in to your Norton account.

  2. Depending on your subscription, do one of the following:

    • If you see the My Norton page, click the Monitored Info tab.

    • If you see the Member Portal page, click the Manage Account tab.

  3. On the Contact Preferences section, next to Text Message, do one of the following, then click Update:

    • Choose the phone number to which you want to receive text message alerts. Reply Start to a confirmation message you receive on this number to activate text alerts.

    • To receive alerts on a different number, click Add a new number, then click Update. Enter the phone number, then choose this number to start receiving the alerts.

    • To opt out of text message alerts, choose Do Not Text.

Update the phone number for automated call alerts

  1. Sign in to your Norton account.

  2. Depending on your subscription, do one of the following:

    • If you see the My Norton page, click the Monitored Info tab.

    • If you see the Member Portal page, click the Manage Account tab.

  3. On the Contact Preferences section, next to Automated Call, do one of the following, then click Update:

    • You can choose your primary phone number to receive Automated Call alerts. 

    • To opt out of automated call alerts, choose Do Not Call.
