Applicable for: iOS
The "Connect on Demand" feature for iOS intelligently enables or disables your Norton VPN, based on demand.
When your device goes to sleep and your network is not in use, it automatically disables your VPN, only to re-enable it once your network is reactivated and data is transmitted.
Your connection will not be re-established until network activity is detected. However, something as simple as browsing a website or looking up directions will trigger the VPN to reconnect.
Norton VPN's "Connect on Demand" optimizes battery use and stays off until it's actually needed.
Follow the steps if VPN does not reconnect after device unlock:
Swipe up from the bottom edge of your device screen to view Control Center.
On iPhone X or later or iPad with iOS 12 or later, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen to view Control Center.
In the Control Center, tap the Airplane icon to turn on Airplane mode.
Wait for at least 30 seconds and tap the Airplane icon again to turn off Airplane mode.
Check if VPN is connected and you can access the Internet now. If the problem persists, go to Step 2 to turn OFF and turn ON Norton VPN manually.
On the Home screen, tap Norton Secure VPN.
Tap Cancel to disconnect.
Tap Turn On VPN to connect again.
