Use Link Guard to protect yourself from suspicious links

The Link Guard feature in Norton Safe Web offers protection from unsafe hyperlinks when you access them in your web browsers. It looks for the reputation of the URL's that appear in your emails and social media pages. If any URL is found suspicious, Link Guard provides a warning before you open the website or before sharing the URL with your family and friends.

On finding the suspicious URLs, Link Guard highlights them in red and the pop-up appears over the suspicious URL.

The Link Guard feature is available for all users who have installed the Norton Safe Web extension. To enable the Link Guard feature in your browser extension, follow the steps:

  1. Launch your browser.

  2. Click the Norton Safe Web icon on the top-right corner of your browser.

  3. Click the Settings icon.

  4. In the Settings page, under Link Guard, move the slider to enable the feature.

To know how to turn off Link Guard, read Turn off Link Guard in Norton Safe Web.
