Message: "We were unable to uninstall Norton Family" while running Norton Remove and Reinstall tool

This message appears if you have installed Norton Family on your device. To fix this, uninstall Norton Family manually and then run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool. Once the removal and reinstallation process is complete, you can reinstall Norton Family from your account.

Uninstall Norton Family

1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

2. Type in the following text, and then press Enter.

   appwiz.cpl

3. In the list of currently installed programs, select Norton Family, and then click Uninstall or Remove.

   If the User Account Control window appears, click Continue.

4. In the Norton Family window, type your parent email address and password, and click OK.

5. Click Next.

6. When the uninstall finishes, exit all programs and restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, run Norton Remove and reinstall tool again. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall and reinstall your Norton product.
