With increasing Internet use, your browser can be prone to attack by malicious websites. These websites detect and exploit the vulnerabilities in your browser and download malware programs to your computer without your consent or knowledge. These malware programs are also called drive-by downloads.
Your Norton product helps protect your browser against drive-by downloads from malicious websites. The Safe Web feature is designed to proactively block new or unknown malware programs before they attack your computer. By protecting your browser, your Norton product helps secure sensitive information and prevents attackers from controlling your computer remotely.
Open your Norton device security product.
On the left pane, click Security.
Navigate to Advanced Security > Web > Safe Web.
In the Safe Web window, click the Blocked Websites tab.
Click Add/Block Website.
Type the URL of the website that you want to block and click Add.
To edit a blocked website, click the pencil icon next to the item, then make the changes to the URL and click Save.
Open your Norton device security product.
On the left pane, click Security.
Navigate to Advanced Security > Web > Safe Web.
In the Safe Web window, click the Blocked Websites tab.
Click the X icon next to the item in the blocked list.
Open your Norton device security product.
On the left pane, click Security.
Navigate to Advanced Security > Web > Safe Web.
In the Safe Web window, click the Exclusions tab.
Click Add/Add Exclusion.
Type the URL of the website that you want to exclude from website scanning and click Add.
To remove an item, click the X icon next to the item in the Exclusions list.
To edit an excluded website, click the pencil icon next to the item, then make the changes to the URL and click Save.
