Norton AntiSpam compatibility with Microsoft Outlook and Windows Mail application

This article provides information about the compatibility of Norton AntiSpam and email scan feature with Microsoft Outlook and Windows Mail application.

Norton AntiSpam is not available for Mac OS.

Norton AntiSpam compatibility with Microsoft Outlook

Norton AntiSpam does not support the Outlook application that is downloaded from Microsoft store.

Norton AntiSpam is compatible with the following versions of Microsoft Outlook.

  • Outlook 2003

  • Outlook 2007

  • Outlook 2010

  • Outlook 2013

  • Outlook 2016

  • Outlook 2019

  • Office 365

Norton AntiSpam compatibility with Windows Mail

Windows Mail app on Windows 11/10 is currently not supported. We are working to restore this feature in an upcoming release.

Norton AntiSpam supported protocols and ports

  • Only POP3 and SMTP protocol is supported.

  • POP3 with SSL is not supported.

  • IMAP & Exchange accounts are not supported.

  • If email client is configured in ports other than default ports 110, then the new port needs to be added to protected ports.

Add a port to the protected port list

  1. Open your Norton device security product.

    If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. In the Settings window, click AntiSpam.

  4. On the Filter tab, next to Protected Ports, click Configure.

  5. In the Protected Ports window, click Add.

  6. In Add Port to protect window, select the Port Type and type in the Port number. Click OK.

  7. Click Apply, and then click OK.
