Starting from Norton Family v25.x, browser-related functionalities such as Web Supervision, Search Supervision, Video Supervision, and School Time Web do not require Norton Family extensions to be installed or enabled in the browser. Therefore, we recommend that you update to the latest version of Norton Family.
To update the Norton Family app to the latest version, go to the Norton portal to download the latest version and follow the on-screen instructions.
After updating to Norton Family v25.x, you may need to clear all browser-related cache before navigating to any website. This allows Norton Family to provide adequate ratings for websites. We recommend that you close and restart your browser before experiencing the browser-related functionalities.
To remove your browser cache, depending on your browser, choose one of the following:
Open Google Chrome.
Click Customize and control Google Chrome in the top-right corner, and then select History.
Click Delete Browsing data on the left side of the screen.
In the Delete Browsing data prompt that appears, select the time range and then select the check-boxes next to Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, and Cached images and files.
Click Delete data.
Open Microsoft Edge.
Click Settings and more in the top-right corner, and then click Delete browsing data.
In the Delete browsing data prompt that appears, select the time range and then select the check-boxes next to Browsing history, Download history, Cookies and other site data, Cached images and data.
Click Clear now.
Open Mozilla Firefox.
Click Open Applications Menu in the top-right corner, and then select Settings.
In the Privacy & Security tab, under Cookies & Site Data, click Clear Data.
In the Clear Browsing Data & Cookies tab that appears, select the time range and then select the check-boxes next to Cookies and other site data, and temporary cached files and images.
Click Delete data.
