Resolve Unable To Quarantine alerts when running Norton backup

When you attempt to repair a file with a threat, Norton removes the threat from your computer or quarantines the file so that it does spread. If Norton cannot quarantine a file because the file size is too large, it displays an Unable To Quarantine alert with options for you to take to resolve the issue.

If get an Unable To Quarantine alert and you are sure that the file does not contain a virus, click Ignore for this scan or Exclude for future scans.

You have the following options:

  • Fix without backup: Lets you permanently remove the virus-infected file from your computer.

  • Exclude for future scans: Lets you exclude the file from future scans.
