To fix this problem, restart your computer. If the problem persists, uninstall any non-Norton security products to fix the issue.

STEP 1

Restart the computer

  1. Exit all programs.

  2. Restart the computer.

    If the problem persists, go to Step 2.

STEP 2

Uninstall any non-Norton security product

You can also read the program documentation or contact the program manufacturer for instructions to remove a non-Norton security product from your computer.

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. Type in the following text, and then press Enter.

     

    appwiz.cpl
  3. In the list of currently installed programs, select the non-Norton security product, and then click Uninstall or Remove.

  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. After the uninstall completes, restart the computer.
