Support Policy

Support is provided for all Norton products that have not reached the support end of life. You can find a list of the currently Supported Product Families below. You may be required to update to the latest version of your product during the support process.

Support for Norton Antivirus Basic and free Norton products is provided through online help articles and the Norton community forum.

Support for paid products, as well as for any purchase or billing questions is available through the following methods:

  • Phone

If you have Norton Antivirus Basic and want live support you can upgrade to a Norton product that includes free unlimited phone and Chat support.

Please note: Customers with trial products are eligible for phone and chat assistance, while customers with free products may avail of forums and articles. Free products refer to products that are not available for purchase.

Availability of live contact options may vary by region and language.

Subscription Renewal Availability

In general, customers can renew their subscription prior to the expiration of their current subscription term to avoid a lapse in their protection. For details on how to automatically renew, read Learn more about your automatically renewing subscription.

Customers with a current paid subscription to Norton 360, Norton Internet Security, Norton AntiVirus, and similar security products are eligible to update to the newest version. To check you eligibility visit the Norton Update Center.

Norton Secure Login

Norton Secure Login is used for user authentication across Norton services and websites. Norton Secure Login is a service that is also available to other organizations to control access to their websites.

If you have trouble logging in to your Norton Product or service, Norton Support can assist you. But when Norton Secure Login is used by websites other than Norton for user authentication, the organizations who own those websites are responsible for providing customer assistance, not Norton Support.
