Message: "Core product(s) have been modified. Please run Smart update or reinstall the product" when starting Norton Utilities 16.0

Run Smart Update

  1. Start Norton Utilities.

  2. In the bottom-right corner of the window, click Smart Update.

  3. In the Smart Update window, click Next.

  4. When Smart Update finishes installing all the available updates, click Finish.

    If the problem persists, go to Step 2.

步驟 2

Uninstall Norton Utilities

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

  2. In the Run dialog box, type in the following text, and then press Enter:

    appwiz.cpl

  3. In the list of currently installed programs, click Norton Utilities, and then click Remove or Uninstall.

  4. Click Yes to confirm.

  5. When the uninstall finishes, exit all programs and restart the computer.

Download Norton Utilities

  1. Sign in to Norton.

  2. In the Order History page, next to Norton Utilities, click Order Number to view the order details.

  3. Under Order Details, copy the product key.

  4. Next to Norton Utilities, click Download.

  5. You are redirected to the Download Manager page. Click the download link to start the download.

    If you cannot download Norton Utilities from Norton Management, you can download it from the following link:

  6. Double-click the file that you downloaded.

  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the product and then restart your computer.

  8. When you see a prompt to activate Norton Utilities, type your product key, and then click Activate.
