Norton Family extension is disabled or removed from the supported browser
Norton Family add-on or extension is needed for features such as Search supervision, Video supervision, and Web supervision. If the child turns off or tries to uninstall the Norton Family browser extension, parents will receive a notification. Parents can re-enable the Norton Family Extension.
To enable the Norton Family extension or add-on, select your browser:
Mozilla Firefox

Open Firefox.
- On the top-right corner, click the menu icon
, and click Add-ons and themes.

On the Extensions tab, select Norton Family extension and then enable it.

For best protection, click Okay for the extension to access your child's online activities while in private browsing mode.

Close and relaunch Firefox.
Google Chrome

Open Google Chrome.
- On the top-right corner, click the Customize and control Google Chrome icon
, and then click More Tools > Extensions.

Locate Norton Family extension and turn it on.
- If the Chrome version is 70 or later, on the top-right, click the Norton Family icon
.
- Click This can read and change site data and then choose On all sites.

Close and relaunch Google Chrome.
Microsoft Edge

Open Microsoft Edge.

On the top-right corner, click Settings and More icon and then click Extensions.

In the Installed Extensions page, next to Norton Family, move the slider to enable the extension.

At the top-right, click Norton Family icon > This can read and change site data and then choose On all sites.

Close and relaunch Microsoft Edge.
