Message: "Update Required: A critical update has been downloaded and must be installed before continuing to use Norton Secure VPN"

Click the Norton Secure VPN icon in the system tray.

Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog box.

Type in the following text, and then press Enter.

In the list of currently installed programs, select Norton Secure VPN, and click Remove or Uninstall.

Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall Norton Secure VPN.

Sign in to your account.

If you are not signed in to Norton already, you are prompted to sign in. Type in your email address and password for Norton, and click Sign In.

If you do not have a Norton account, click Create account and complete the sign-up process.

In the Subscriptions page, select Norton Secure VPN, and then click Download.

Click Agree & Download.

Click OK to save and open the Setup.zip file.

When the download finishes, double-click the Norton product Installer.

If you see a Security Warning about opening the downloaded file, click Run to continue.

Click Next to start the installation.

Read the license agreement, and then click I Agree.

When the installation finishes, click Finish.

Click the Finder icon in the Dock to be in the Finder.

On the menu bar, click Go > Downloads to go to the 'Downloads' folder.

Drag and drop the Norton Secure VPN Installer file that you downloaded to the Trash.

On the menu bar, click Go > Applications to go to the 'Applications' folder.

Drag and drop the Norton Secure VPN app to Trash.

Restart the device.

Sign in to your account.

In the My Norton portal, under Secure VPN, click Download.

Do one of the following:

• To install Norton Secure VPN on the same device, click Agree & Download, and then save the installer.

• To install Norton Secure VPN on another device, click Install on Another Device and type your email address to share the download link to another device. Access your email from the device where you want to install Norton Secure VPN, and click the download link.

Double click the installer file that you downloaded.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
