FAQ: Updating from Norton Mobile Security app to Norton 360 app

With Norton offerings, we strive to bring an industry-leading, valuable and relevant cybersecurity to help protect your devices and personal information. Occasionally, we reassess our offerings and features to ensure value to our customers and partners.

As a result, we have decided to replace the Norton Mobile Security app with the new Norton 360 app. For Android, starting November 2020, you will receive an update to your existing Norton Mobile Security for Android app to the new Norton 360 for Android app. For iOS, starting January 2020, you will receive an update to your existing Norton Mobile Security for iOS app to the new Norton 360 for iOS app.

Updating the app to Norton 360 does not change your existing Norton subscription plan. If you are using a free version of Norton Mobile Security for Android or for iOS, you will lose access to your current protection features unless you move to a paid subscription.

What is new in the Norton 360 app?

Norton 360 app is designed to provide an enhanced user experience with a new user interface. Depending on your subscription plan, you can now view and manage your features and protection status all from a single app.

Can I install Norton 360 app on my device?

To install the Norton 360 app, your device must meet the following minimum system requirements:
Android

  • Android 8.0 or later (Must have Google Play app installed)

iOS

  • iPhones or iPads running the current and previous two versions of Apple iOS

If available in your country, you can install the Norton 360 app update from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. To know more about updating the Norton Mobile Security app to Norton 360, read: Updating Norton Mobile Security to the latest version.

Why is the Norton 360 app not available in my country?

The update to the new Norton 360 app is being released in phases starting with some countries. When available in your country, you can install the app update for Norton Mobile Security from Google Play Store or Apple App Store to update to the new Norton 360 app.

Can I continue using the Norton Mobile Security app?

You may continue using Norton Mobile Security as long as you do not install the app update from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
However, to continue receiving the latest protection updates, we recommend that you update to the new Norton 360 app.
