Remove Adware.DNS Unlocker Activity 2 from your computer

This document helps you to remove the Adware.DNS Unlocker Activity 2 from your computer. To remove this threat, run LiveUpdate and then run a Quick Scan. After the scan completes, download and run the fix tool.

STEP 1

Run LiveUpdate

  1. Open your Norton device security product.

    If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

  2. In the Norton product main window, double-click Security, and then click LiveUpdate.

  3. When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click OK.

  4. Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates."

  5. Exit all programs, and restart the computer.

STEP 2

Run a Quick Scan

  1. Open your Norton device security product.

    If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

  2. In the Norton product main window, double-click Security, and then click Scans.

  3. In the Scans window, select Quick Scan and click Go.

  4. When the scan is finished, click Finish.

  5. Restart the computer.

STEP 3

Download and run the fix tool

The fix tool is not compatible with Windows XP. If you are a Windows XP user, contact Norton Member Services & Support.

  1. Download the fix tool.

    Save the file to the Windows desktop.

  2. On your desktop, double-click the NortonDNSUnlockerRepair.exe file.

    By running the tool, you accept the Usage Agreement.

    If prompted to install .NET Framework, click Download and install this feature.

  3. Click Apply Fix.

  4. When the message "The fix was applied successfully" appears, click Close.
