Reinstall your Norton product that was pre-installed on your computer

If you have an active subscription for a 2006 or newer version of a Norton product, you can update to the newest version at no cost. Updating to the newest version may solve problems that you had with an older version.

If you do not want to get the newest version of your Norton product, contact your computer manufacturer to get your Norton product reinstalled.

The steps to reinstall Norton Online Backup are different from other Norton Products. For more information, read:



Download and install the newest version of your Norton product from Norton Account

  1. Go to your Norton Account.

  2. Type in your email address and password for your Norton Account, then click Sign In.

    If you do not have a Norton Account, skip to STEP 2 to download and install your Norton product. You will need the Product Key for your product, or you will only have a 15 day trial.

  3. Next to the Norton product that you want to reinstall, click DOWNLOAD, and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the product.

    If the download button is not available, the subscription for your product is expired. Click RENEW and follow the steps to renew your product subscription, then you can download and install your product from Norton Account.


Download and install the newest version of your Norton product without Norton Account

    If you download and install a Norton product that you do not have an active subscription for, or you have an active subscription and no Product Key, the product comes with a 15 day trial subscription.

  1. Download the latest version of your Norton product.


  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  4. If you are prompted for a Product Key, log in to your Norton Account and use the Product Key for the Norton product you are installing.
