Respond to the KRACK vulnerability alert from Norton 360 mobile app

Device Security feature in Norton 360 scans your device and alerts you about known vulnerabilities such as KRACK, and untrusted certificates if found. If any of such risks are detected, Norton 360 helps you with information on how to fix the risks.

Key Reinstallation Attacks (KRACK) vulnerability allows attackers access to important information like credit card numbers, passwords, and any emails that are transmitted over WiFi networks. It also allows attackers to potentially infect your devices with malware or ransomware. For more information on the KRACK vulnerability, read What you need to do about the WPA2 WiFi network vulnerability.

To fix the KRACK vulnerability, make sure that you install all the available firmware and software updates on all of your Wi-Fi enabled devices. For more information, contact your device manufacturer.

We also recommend you to use a VPN service to protect your device when connected to an unsecured Wi-Fi network. Learn more about Features of Norton Secure VPN.
