Bericht: 'Verbindingsfout: Verbindingsprobleem met Secure VPN. Probeer het later opnieuw.'

Start Norton.

Klik in het venster Mijn Norton onder Apparaatbeveiliging op LiveUpdate.

Klik op OK wanneer Norton LiveUpdate is voltooid.

Voer LiveUpdate uit totdat het bericht 'Uw Norton-product heeft de recentste beveiligingsupdates' wordt weergegeven.

Sluit alle programma's af en start de computer opnieuw op.

Ga naar stap 2 als het probleem zich blijft voordoen.

Druk op de toetsen Windows + R om het dialoogvenster Uitvoeren te openen.

Typ de volgende tekst en druk op Enter.

Klik in de lijst met geïnstalleerde programma's op Norton 360 en dan op Verwijderen of Installatie ongedaan maken.

Klik op Verwijder alle gebruikersgegevens.

Klik op Volgende in het waarschuwingsvenster voor de abonnementsperiode.

Klik op Nu opnieuw opstarten.

Norton 360 is niet volledig verwijderd totdat u uw computer opnieuw heeft opgestart.

Meld u aan bij Norton.

Als u nog niet bij Norton bent aangemeld, wordt u gevraagd om u aan te melden. Voer het e-mailadres en wachtwoord voor Norton in en klik op Aanmelden.

Heeft u geen account, klik dan op Een account aanmaken en voltooi het aanmeldproces.

Klik op Norton downloaden in het venster Aan de slag.

Klik op Akkoord en downloaden.

Voer afhankelijk van uw browser een van de volgende handelingen uit:

• Voor de browsers Internet Explorer of Microsoft Edge: klik op Uitvoeren.

• Voor Firefox of Safari: klik in de rechterbovenhoek van de browser op de optie Downloaden om de gedownloade bestanden te zien, en dubbelklik op het bestand dat u heeft gedownload.

• Voor Chrome: dubbelklik in de linkeronderhoek op het bestand dat u heeft gedownload.

Wanneer het venster Gebruikersaccountbeheer verschijnt, klikt u op Doorgaan.

Volg de instructies op het scherm.

Uw Norton-product is nu geïnstalleerd en geactiveerd.

Run the port test tool.

You need to run the tool from Command prompt. Save the file to Desktop and open Command prompt in elevated mode. Type the following command

C:\User\{User_name}\Desktop\IPSecPortTester.exe

If UDP ports 500 and 4500 are blocked, temporarily disable Norton Firewall and connect to VPN.

Do one of the following:

• If you can connect to Secure VPN with Norton Firewall turned off, add a rule to Norton Firewall to allow access through UDP ports 500 and 4500.

• If you cannot connect to Secure VPN even after turning off Norton Firewall, check the router configuration. If the router is blocking the traffic over UDP ports 500 and 4500, configure the settings to allow UDP ports 500 and 4500.

Start Norton Secure VPN.

From the VPN drop-down menu, select VPN Region.

Select a different region.

Repeat line 2 to 3 to connect to different regions.

Check "Surf Easy certificates" are installed in the Local Machine Certificate store. (Personal, Trusted Root and Intermediate Cert)

Check if "Global Sign Root Cert CA - R3" is present in either Trusted Root cert store OR Third Party Root cert store (this required for Win 7, nice to have for Win 10).

Do one of the following:

• If certificates are present, go to Step 2

• If certificates are not present, click Turn ON. button and wait for 2 mins, and then connect to VPN again

Repeat above step 6 times.

Press the Windows + R key.

In the Run dialogbox, type the following, and click OK :

services.msc

From the list of services, start the following:

• IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules

• Base Filtering Engine

• DNS Client

Turn on Secure VPN.

Go to device manager.

Remove the following entries

• WAN Miniport drivers (IKEv2)

• WAN Miniport drivers (IP)

• WAN Miniport drivers (IPv6)

• Symantec TAP driver

From the menu bar, click Action > Scan for Hardware Changes.

Connect to Norton Secure VPN and check.
