Update the name on your LifeLock account

If you want to update your name due to a simple misspelling:

You can call Member Services at customer support or submit a Support Request through your LifeLock online account with correct spelling.

If you want to change your name due to a legal name change:

You need to send us a note indicating your original name and the change you like to make along with one of these documents to verify the change. We must have a copy of the official document.

  • Valid government-issued ID with new name such as: a driver's license, passport or state- issued ID card

  • Social security card with new name

  • Court documents petition for name change (with court seal/stamp)

  • Letter from the Social Security Administration indicating name change

  • Marriage certificate

Unfortunately, we cannot accept documents by email, but you can send the information to LifeLock Document Department via our secure fax line at 888-244-9823 or by mail at:
