Using your Norton product key

A Norton product key is a 25-character alphanumeric code, displayed as five groups of five characters separated by hyphens (for example, XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX).

You can find your Norton product key depending on where you purchased Norton.

• Norton.com: Your purchase confirmation email includes the product key or instructions on how to obtain it.
• Retail store: The product key is inside the box or printed on a card within the box.

Other common methods for locating your product key:

• Third-party website: A confirmation email from the website for your order contains the product key. Check the spam folder if you cannot find the email.
• Service provider: Log in to your service provider’s portal to locate the activation pin and to download and install your Norton device security product.
• TechBench-Computer repair shop: After activation, your Norton product key is stored in your Norton account. TechBench also provides a Norton product activation card with the product key printed on it.

To use your Norton product key, select the option that best suits your situation:

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Hover over your profile icon, and then click My Subscriptions.

Your product key displays next to your subscription.

Renew or activate your existing Norton device security product

1. Open Norton.
2. If the My Norton window appears, click Open next to Device Security.
3. Take one of the following actions, depending on your situation:
   • Activate an expired subscription: Click Activate Now.
   • Renew an existing subscription: Click Help, and then click Enter Product Key.
4. Enter the new product key that you received in email or from the store.
