Compatibility of Norton Family with Microsoft Edge browser

Currently, Norton Family works with limited functionality and only supports the domain-level web supervision on Microsoft Edge.

Although Microsoft Edge is the default browser for Windows 10, Microsoft Internet Explorer is also available and fully supported by Norton Family.

For Norton Family to monitor all of your child's online activity, we recommend switching to a compatible browser, such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox on Windows 10.

Change the default browser

  1. On your desktop, on the bottom-left corner, click the Windows icon, and then click Settings.

  2. In the Settings window, click Apps.

  3. In the Apps window, click Default apps.

  4. In the right pane, scroll down to Web browser, and then click Microsoft Edge.

  5. In the Choose an app dialog box, select your preferred web browser.

    If you want to set Microsoft Internet Explorer as your default browser but do not see it in the list of browsers, you may need to enable it.
