Respond to "Malicious Website detected" or "Unsafe Site" alert on Norton 360 mobile app

Introduction and prerequisites

This article explains how to manage alerts from the Norton 360 mobile app when it detects a malicious or dangerous website. These alerts warn that a website may contain threats that could compromise your personal information. The alert provides an option to bypass the warning and visit the website if you are sure of its reputation.

Note: Norton recommends that you do not visit the website unless you are sure that it is safe and use a cautious approach while browsing the website.

Step-by-step instructions

Depending on your device, do the following to bypass and allow access to the website:

  • Android device: In the alert message, tap Visit Anyway to access the website. To block the website, tap Don’t Visit.

  • iOS device: In the alert message, tap View Details, and then tap Allow Access to Site.

If you think the Norton 360 app is blocking a legitimate website, you can submit a dispute.

Submit a dispute for the website for evaluation or review

  1. In the alert message, tap View Details.

  2. For an iOS device, tap View Full Report. For an Android device, skip to the next step.

  3. On the Safe Web page that appears, tap Click here to submit dispute.

  4. Fill in the required details and tap Submit. You will receive an email confirmation within 2 days once the website is validated.
