Exporting or importing your Norton Password Manager data
You can export your Norton Password Manager data for security purposes, data recovery, or when you transfer your Password Manager data to a new computer. If you forget your vault password and wanted to create a new vault, you can use the backed up data to get your vault ready.
Similarly, you can import the data into your existing vault. When you import, you can choose one of the following options:
The file size of your import data should not exceed 15 MB for .CSV files.
To export your data

For Norton Password Manager on Windows, double-click the Norton Password Manager icon on your desktop or taskbar.

In the Norton Password Manager main window, click the icon.

Click the Import/Export tab.

In the Export vault section, select one of the following file formats:

Password Manager Backup Format - DAT File

Plain Text - CSV file (Logins & Notes only)

You can password protect your DAT file. To add more security to your DAT file, type and confirm the password.

Type your vault password and then click

Choose a file name and location to store your Vault data.

In the confirmation dialog, click

To import your data

In the Norton Password Manager main window, click the icon.

Click the Import/Export tab.

In the Import Vault section, click .

In the Vault Import window, select one of the following options:

Merge imported data with existing data

Replace existing data with imported data

Click
and choose the file that you want to import. If you see a password prompt, enter the password to start importing the file. -
