Norton Safe Web Plus App extension for Safari

Supported Operating System and Safari browser version

  • MacOS 10.14.4 with Safari 12 and above

  • MacOS 10.13.6 with Safari 13 and above

What happens to my existing Norton Safari extensions on Safari 13?

The current Norton extensions that are offered on Safari browser will not be supported by Apple after Safari 13 browser version update. Hence, Norton will provide new Safari App extensions that offer similar protection features. The following legacy extensions will not work on Safari 13 and above:

  • Norton Safe Search (You cannot configure Norton Safe Search as your default search provider in Safari, because it is not supported from Safari 13 and above).

  • Norton Safe Web

  • Norton Password Manager

Download and install Norton Safe Web Plus Safari App extension from Norton from Mac

  1. In your Norton from Mac product, click Download in the alert notification.

  2. In the downloaded app, click Get and click Install App.

  3. Enter your Apple ID credentials and follow the on-screen instructions to install the Norton Safe Web Plus App.

Download and install Norton Safe Web Plus Safari App extension from Mac App store

  1. Start Safari.

  2. From the Safari menu, click Safari Extensions.

  3. In the App Store window, search for Norton Safe Web Plus.

  4. In the downloaded app, click Get and click Install App.

  5. Enter your Apple ID credentials and follow the on-screen instructions to install the Norton Safe Web Plus App.

Enable Norton Safe Web Plus App extensions on Safari
