To install Norton Mobile Security on your Android device, you need to have Android 6.x or later.

On your Android device, tap here to be redirected to the Norton Mobile Security page in Google Play Store.

Tap , and then tap to install the app.

When the installation finishes, tap .

Read and accept the Norton License Agreement and Terms of Use, and Norton Mobile Privacy Policy, and then tap .

Type your Norton account email address and password, and then tap .
Make sure to use the same email address and password that was used to purchase Norton Mobile Security or your Norton product that includes Norton Mobile Security (such as Norton Security or Norton 360 Multi-Device). If you have not activated your Norton Mobile Security subscription yet, see Activate Norton Mobile Security. Norton Mobile Security installation is now complete.
If you see any problems with installing Norton Mobile Security, make sure that your device has the latest version of Google Play application, and all of the latest system updates installed.
To use the Anti-Malware and Web Protection features, you need to enable the Norton Security Service. Do the following to enable the Norton Security Service.
The feature is enabled automatically once you complete the following steps. For Android 7.x or earlier devices, Anti-Malware is enabled by default.

From the Home screen, launch the Norton Mobile Security app.

At the bottom of the main screen, tap the icon
, and then tap .

In the Web Protection screen, next to Setup is required, move the slider to turn it on, and then tap .

In the Accessibility settings screen, if you see the Installed services option, then tap or else go to step 5.

Ttap and move the slider to turn it on

Tap to confirm.

In the Protection at all times screen, tap , and then do the following to allow Norton to run in the background to protect your device:

On Android 7.x or later devices: In the screen, tap .

On Android 6.x devices: In the screen, tap .

From the Home screen, launch the Norton Mobile Security app.

At the bottom of the main screen, tap the icon
.

Tap .

In the App Advisor for Google Play screen, tap . If you have already enabled Norton Security Service, go to step 8.

In the Accessibility settings screen, if you see the Installed services option, then tap or else go to step 6.

Tap and move the slider to turn it on.

Tap to confirm.

Do one of the following:

On Android 9.x or later devices, in the Display over other apps screen, next to Allow display over other apps, move the slider to turn it on.

On Android 8.x or earlier devices, in the Apps that can draw over other apps screen, next to Permit drawing over other apps, move the slider to turn it on.

If you see Protection at all times screen, tap , and then do the following to allow Norton to run in the background to protect your device:

On Android 7.x or later devices: In the Let app always run in background? screen, tap .

On Android 6.x devices: In the Ignore battery optimizations? screen, tap .
