Norton Password Manager helps you access, manage, and secure your passwords and personal information — everything you rely on for your most important online activities. Your vault data is encrypted end-to-end, meaning Norton cannot view your passwords or any sensitive information stored in your vault.
With Norton Password Manager, you will never have to remember or manually type usernames and passwords again. Your credentials are automatically synchronized across browsers and mobile devices, so you can sign in securely from anywhere.
Norton Password Manager stores your sensitive data in a secure cloud vault. The vault is protected by a vault password that you set — this password is immediately converted into a numeric encryption key on your device. Your vault password is never stored or transmitted to Norton or anyone else; it is used only by Norton Password Manager, which runs locally on your device.
The vault organizes your data into five categories:
| Logins | Usernames and passwords for websites and online accounts |
| Wallet |
Credit/debit card details and bank account information |
| Addresses |
Personal contact and postal information for autofilling forms |
| Notes | Any sensitive text — license keys, PINs, Wi-Fi passwords, etc. |
| Identities | Complete personal profiles for filling multi-field online forms |
You can save your Identities data only from the Norton Password Manager mobile app. Logins, Wallet, Addresses, and Notes can be saved from the Norton Password Manager browser extension and from the mobile app.
Once you save a login, Norton Password Manager automatically fills your username and password the next time you visit that website. Your vault data stays synchronized in real time across:
All supported desktop browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari)
The Norton Password Manager mobile app (Android and iOS)
This means a password saved on your laptop is instantly available on your phone, and vice versa.
The Passwordless Vault Unlock feature lets you unlock your Norton Password Manager vault from a desktop browser without typing your vault password. Instead, a notification is sent to your mobile device — simply approve it to unlock the vault on your desktop. To know more about Passwordless Vault Unlock, refer to Setup Passwordless Vault Unlock for Norton Password Manager.
The Safety Dashboard in Norton Password Manager monitors the health and security of the logins stored in your cloud vault. It scans your saved passwords and flags potential issues so you can take action to improve your overall security. To know more about the Safety Dashboard, refer to Monitor and update your passwords with Safety Dashboard.
The Password Generator feature creates strong, unique passwords for new accounts or when you update an existing password. Using a strong, unique password for every site reduces the risk of your accounts being compromised. You can also use the password generator feature to create a strong passphrase. To know more about the Password Generator, refer to Create a strong password using Norton Password Generator.
