Transfer your protection from one device to another device
Your subscription comes with a limited number of licenses to protect your various devices. Find out how many devices you can protect with your Norton subscription.
If you have used up your licenses,
- You can transfer a license from an unused device to allow installation on another device (or)
- You can purchase a product with more seats from norton.com/products and contact Member Support & Services to discuss your options.
Remove your existing device and transfer your license to another device
-
Sign in to your account.
-
On the Device Security page, identify the device that you no longer want to protect.
If you do not see the device, click View History link at the bottom of the device list to see your older inactive devices. If you still do not see the device, the device may be associated with a different account. -
Identify the device you no longer wish to protect from the list of devices and click on More options.
-
Click Remove Device and then click Remove.
-
Click on Install on another device to install on a new device. For detailed steps, read Download and install your Norton device security.
Tips
- Your product subscription begins when you complete the purchase. For example, if you have 100 days of subscription remaining and you uninstall the product from your old device and install it on the new device, your product will have 100 days remaining.
- Installing on a virtual machine will consume a license seat from your subscription.
