Message: "Install Norton was prevented….” appears when trying to install Norton on macOS 14 or later

This error appears when you try to install your Norton device security product on macOS 14 or later. To resolve this issue, enable the Install Norton option on the App Management settings on your Mac.

1. On your Home desktop window, click the Apple menu icon at the top-left corner.

2. Click System Settings and then click Privacy & Security in the sidebar.

3. On the right pane, click App Management.

4. Next to the Install Norton option, move the slider to turn it on.
