Introduction and prerequisites

This article provides instructions for the Norton Small Business account owner to download and install Norton Small Business, a multi-platform security app designed to protect your devices.

Step-by-step instructions

Follow these instructions to download and install the latest version of Norton Small Business on your computer. If you are not the Norton Small Business account owner, go to Download and install on user's device.

STEP 1: Download and install Norton Small Business on your device

1. Sign in to your account.

2. In the Subscriptions page, under Norton Small Business, and click Download or Share.

3. In the Get Started window, make sure the app name that is displayed is the one you want to install, and click Download.

4. Do one of the following depending on your browser:

   • For Windows: Press Ctrl + J key to open the Downloads window in your browser, and double-click the file that you downloaded.

   • For Mac: Press Command + Option + L to open the Downloads window in your browser, and double-click the file that you downloaded.

5. If the User Account Control window appears, click Continue.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions.

7. Your Norton app is now installed and activated. 

STEP 2: Send install invite to your users

As the account owner, you should send the install emails to your users. Follow the instructions below to send the install invite to help your users install the Norton app on their devices.

1. Sign in to your account.

2. If you are not signed in to Norton already, you will be prompted to sign in. Type in your email address and password for Norton, and click Sign In.

3. In the My Subscriptions page, under Norton Small Business, and click Download or Share.

4. Click Send Download Link.

5. In the Install on another Device window, enter the email addresses of the users on whose devices you want to protect, or a text message or copy the link with download instructions and click the Send button. You can also scan the QR code to download the Norton 360 app on your mobile. Use any QR code scanner to capture the code.

6. Click Done.

STEP 3: Download and install on user's device

1. Locate and open the email from Norton.

2. Click Download Now.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install Norton Small Business.

If the install link has expired or if you have not received the invite, contact your Norton Small Business account owner.
