This runbook provides instructions for signing in and out of your Norton account, and also troubleshooting common access issues that might interfere with the sign-in process.
Your Norton account helps you to:
Manage your subscription
Update your personal and billing information
Find your product key
Activate subscription renewal
Activate cloud backup
Access other services and a lot more.
You should already have an account if you have:
Installed or activated a Norton product
Purchased a product from Norton.com or renewed a Norton product subscription.
Signed up for Norton Family or Norton Safe Web.
If you already have a valid Norton account, then follow the steps below to sign in to your account:
Go to my.Norton.com and click Sign In.
Enter your username or email address.
Choose one of the following sign-in methods:
Click Continue.
In the Request on-time passcode window, select how you want to receive the code: either your registered email address or mobile number (if available), then click Continue.
Enter the passcode and click Verify.
Click Use password.
Enter your password and click Sign In.
If you do not remember your password, click Forgot password? to set up a new password.
If you have enabled two-factor authentication for your account, enter the verification code and click Verify.
Click sign in with Google, Apple ID, or Microsoft (if already linked).
Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in to your account.
If you see multiple accounts, select the account you would like to sign in to and then click Continue.
You see this screen if:
You have multiple accounts with the same username but different passwords.
You use your Norton username on your LifeLock account or vice versa.
Account temporarily locked due to too many failed login attempts
If you enter an incorrect password too many times, your account may be temporarily locked. We recommend waiting for an hour and then trying to sign in again.
Did not receive the password reset email
Check if the email you have typed in is correct. If you still did not receive the email, check your spam folder. For more assistance, see Resolving problems with receiving Norton account password reset emails.

Unable to sign in due to an error
Visit the Norton Services Status page to check if there are any back-end outages and try again later.
Account is associated with an old email address that you cannot access
Contact Member Services & Support for assistance.
Signing out of your Norton account does not cancel your subscription or uninstall the app. It only disconnects the current device or browser from your account.
Go to my.norton.com in your web browser.
In the top-right corner, hover over My Account.
Click Sign out.
The page refreshes and displays the sign-in screen. This confirms that you are signed out of your Norton account.
Open Norton 360 on your device.
In the top-right corner, click the Profile icon.
Click Sign out and accept the prompt
Close and reopen the app if needed.
Open Norton 360 on your device.
In the bottom-left corner, click the Profile icon.
Click Sign out.
Close and reopen the app if needed.
Open Norton 360 on your device.
In the bottom-right corner, tap Account.
Tap Sign out and accept the prompt.
